We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and motivated Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Key Workers who are passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
The Role
As a Key Worker, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing through high-quality interactions and engaging experiences.
You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
You will build strong relationships with children and their families while promoting the highest standards of safeguarding, care and education.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as a Key Person for a group of children.
· Build warm, positive and professional relationships with children and families.
· Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
· Observe, assess and record children’s progress accurately.
· Support children’s emotional wellbeing, independence and confidence.
· Promote inclusive practice and celebrate diversity.
· Maintain high standards of care, hygiene and health and safety.
· Support meal times, personal care and daily routines where appropriate.
· Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
· Maintain accurate records using nursery systems.
· Contribute to creating a positive, welcoming nursery environment.
· Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions and training.
· Promote the nursery’s values and maintain confidentiality.
Essential Requirements Level 2 Applicants
· Full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
· Good understanding of the EYFS.
· Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Passion for supporting young children.
Level 3 Applicants
· Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
· Experience working within an early years setting.
· Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development.
· Ability to act as a Key Person confidently.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Ability to build positive partnerships with parents.
Desirable
· Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
· SEND awareness.
· Experience using online learning journals.
· Food Hygiene Certificate.
· Prevent Duty awareness.
· Safeguarding training.
· Behaviour management experience.

Experience
Experience in an early years setting is desirable but not essential for Level 2 applicants. We welcome enthusiastic practitioners who are committed to providing outstanding care and education.
