HGV Technician
Location: Bridgend Quarry, King Edward, Banff

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our expanding workshop team. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience maintaining and repairing mobile quarry plant, including crushers, screeners, conveyors, excavators, loading shovels, and other heavy plant machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied fleet of HGVs and specialist quarry equipment within a well-established and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on mobile quarry plant and heavy plant equipment where applicable.
- Prepare vehicles and equipment for inspections and MOTs.
- Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Accurately complete workshop documentation and job records.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and to the highest industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Plant Fitter.
- Experience working on mobile quarry plant such as crushers, screeners, conveyors, loading shovels, excavators, or similar heavy plant equipment is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: From £45,000.00 per year
