UTM Limited, operate a 24/7 facility and satellite units in close proximately of the main site.
We have an opportunity for four new Inspector Packers to join the team at our site in Mildenhall.
This is a full-time role, working an allocated shift pattern listed below with a rate of £12.88 per hour:
- Shift 1- Wednesday to Saturday / Thursday to Saturday 6.00am – 6.00pm - NIGHTS
- Shift 1- Wednesday to Saturday / Thursday to Saturday 6.00pm – 6.00am - DAYS
- Shift 2 - Sunday to Tuesday / Sunday to Wednesday 6.00am – 6.00pm - DAYS
- Shift 2- Wednesday to Saturday / Thursday to Saturday 6.00pm – 6.00am - NIGHTS
On your allocated shift pattern, the employee will receive a 14% shift premium on DAYS and 47% shift premium on NIGHTS in addition to their hourly rate.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Our ideal candidate will be preferably educated to GCSE standard, level 4 and above and must include Maths and English.
The Role will include
- To complete full product testing.
- To complete measurement history and input to database.
- To carry out a visual check on automatically assembled product
- To rework assemblies as necessary.
- To repackage assemblies as necessary.
- To palletise boxes of assemblies for despatch
- To assist and run packing machines.
- Any other duties as maybe required.
- Training provided
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The Assembly Packer Inspector will have:
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering background
- Previous assembly skills on small components
- Must be over the age of 18

- Good hand to eye co-ordination
- Good numeracy and literacy
- English language and literacy at an Intermediate level.
