We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SENCO to join a progressive school in Wigan, on a full-time and fixed term basis as a maternity cover role. The successful candidate will manage the SEND provision across the school, enhancing the learning experience for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
The pay for this role is competitive, dependent upon experience, with an additional TLR available.
Your role as SENCO is to:
- Lead the SEND team effectively
- Raise and maintain standards across the school as well as raising the profile of the SEND within the academy
- Provide a high quality provision and lead the delivery of consistently good and outstanding teaching and learning opportunities
- Strategically plan for the development of key areas, demonstrating impact of these on learning and progress of pupils
- Create an engaging environment for learners of all abilities
