Job Overview
We are seeking smart, eloquent, enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant events team on a casual basis as and when we have events. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, be well-organised, and have a friendly demeanour. Previous bar experience is essential.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and beverages to customers efficiently and courteously
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating excellent time management skills during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality is mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
