Are you a people person? Do you thrive in a team environment? Would working outside regular office hours suit you?
The Gillian Lynne Theatre is thrilled to be hosting the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of My Neighbour Totoro, and we’re looking for engaging, enthusiastic Guest Experience Hosts to join our team.
At LW Theatres, we believe that every customer experience should be unforgettable. Our Guest Experience Hosts are the face of our theatre, playing an important role in making sure our guests feel safe and welcome. Whether it’s checking tickets and bags, ushering inside the auditorium, selling programmes and ice creams or working behind one of our bars and kiosks, you’ll create magical experiences for each and every audience member we welcome into our theatre.
Here’s what you’ll be doing...
- Welcoming our guests into our theatre in an open, inclusive and approachable manner
- Making sure our guests feel safe and comfortable while they enjoy the show, by following our strict security and health and safety procedures
- Putting our guests first – answering any questions and resolving any issues they may have, while sharing your love of theatre with them
- Working alongside our diverse team to drive sales both inside the theatre and at any of our bars and kiosks
- Communicating clearly with supervisors and management to ensure each performance runs smoothly
- Taking pride in your appearance, following our dress code and ensuring the theatre always looks its best
- Always learning new ways to work, and improving your knowledge of LW Theatres so that you can provide the best possible service
What we’re looking for...
We’re looking for someone with some sales and customer service experience – but don’t worry if you don’t have that. We’re more interested in someone that is passionate about providing excellent customer service and can build strong rapport with both guests and colleagues.
You should be calm and efficient when things get busy, and a team player who’s comfortable working with others. It’s also important to have a can-do attitude and be able to adapt to the fast-paced nature of live theatre.
