Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications following doctor’s instructions and pharmacy protocols
- Verify prescriptions for correctness, dosage, and potential interactions to ensure patient safety
- Assist pharmacists in preparing medication orders and managing inventory stock levels
- Provide friendly, clear communication to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications, patient interactions, and inventory transactions
- Support medication administration processes by preparing labels, packaging, and documentation for patient use
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details or resolve dispensing issues promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar medication dispensing role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Effective communication skills to interact confidently with patients and healthcare team members
- Certification or licensing as required by local regulations for pharmacy technicians or dispensers (if applicable)
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
