Everyman Driving Experiences UK is one of the country’s leading supercar and driving experience providers, delivering unforgettable events across multiple UK venues. We work with a large nationwide network of freelance event professionals to ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience from arrival to departure.
We are looking for a highly organised, people-focused Event Team Manager to lead our event staffing and operations function. This is a hands-on management role overseeing a small internal team and a large freelance workforce, while ensuring the successful delivery of driving experience events across the UK.
The Role
As Event Team Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, recruitment, booking, deployment and performance management of all event staff. You will lead the internal event support team, oversee logistics and scheduling, and ensure every event is staffed efficiently, professionally and within budget.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in events, hospitality, experiential marketing, or large-scale operational staffing who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading both permanent and freelance teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Manage, coach and develop a small internal team across logistics, staffing, recruitment and administration.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs and performance standards.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and training.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Freelance Workforce Management
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding and retention of a large nationwide freelance workforce.
- Ensure staffing levels are maintained to support peak operational periods.
- Develop talent pipelines for drivers, marshals, event assistants, hospitality staff and venue personnel.
- Monitor freelance performance and maintain a reliable preferred staff network.
Event Staffing & Scheduling
- Lead the booking and deployment of staff across all UK event locations.
- Ensure accurate rota planning, availability management and last-minute cover solutions.
- Optimise staffing efficiency while controlling labour costs.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation and event-specific staffing requirements where necessary.
Logistics & Operations
- Oversee event logistics planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, uniforms and operational materials are prepared and deployed appropriately.
- Work closely with operations and venue teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Identify operational improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Recruitment & Administration
- Manage recruitment campaigns, interviews and onboarding processes.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, right-to-work checks and contractor documentation.
- Oversee payroll submissions, invoicing information and staff records.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and workforce management systems.
Performance & Reporting
- Track staffing costs, event performance and workforce utilisation.
- Produce weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor KPIs including staffing efficiency, recruitment performance, labour spend and workforce retention.
- Contribute to strategic planning for future event growth.
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Proven experience managing teams within events, hospitality, logistics, experiential or operational environments.
- Experience managing large freelance, temporary or seasonal workforces.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- Excellent people management and leadership abilities.
- Confident decision-maker under pressure.
- Strong administrative and reporting capability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce scheduling systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Desirable
- Experience within live events, motorsport, automotive or experiential events.
- Knowledge of event logistics and operational planning.
- Experience using recruitment or workforce management software.
