Overview
We are a video and photography studio on the edge of Bourne Woods in Farnham focusing on product films and photos for some of the biggest names in consumer appliances and commercial kitchens, including De'Longhi, Kenwood, Braun and Merrychef. Our purpose-built studio has its own working kitchen for filming, which means your shoot days will smell considerably better than most. We also make content for other sectors such as property, education, pharma and manufacturing.
We're looking for a producer to own our project timelines and keep everything moving, from the moment a brief lands to the moment the last file is delivered. Working in a team of 6 full time staff (with a pool of freelancers) there are less management layers, so the schedules, the budgets, the call sheets, the client comms, the talent and the timeline are yours. Deadlines arrive quietly because you saw the problems coming, and our clients hear from us before they have to ask.
What the job actually is:
- You will take projects from signed-off brief through to delivery. In pre-production that means quoting, booking shoot days, sourcing locations and props, casting and booking talent, wrangling permission forms, building call sheets and risk assessments, and getting client products in the door, checked and ready. On the day it means looking after talent and clients, translating between the crew and everyone else, and fixing things before anyone notices they broke. Afterwards it means driving the edit schedule with our editor, fielding client feedback, and pushing every deliverable over the line in every aspect ratio we promised. And throughout, you will hold the budgets, from first quote to final reconciliation.
- Nice to have: you'll also make things. We produce a lot of social-first and short-form content for our clients, and we want someone who genuinely understands that world: what works on Reels and TikTok right now, why vertical-first thinking changes how you plan a shoot, and what makes etailer content feel current rather than three years old. If you can shoot and cut simple short-form pieces yourself, even better. However, this aspect of the job is not a deal breaker. Being hyper-organised is a more important attribute for this role.
Who we are looking for
- Someone with a couple of years or more producing commercial video, who has run real projects with real clients and real budgets rather than only assisting on them.
- You need to be organised to the point of mild obsession, calm when things wobble, and comfortable being the person a client calls.
- You will be walking into a role where your predecessor has moved on, so processes are in place, but we are always interested in better ways of working. You will have the whole team around you, but self-starters will enjoy this far more than people who like being handed a manual.
- We work with AI-assisted production workflows and we are building more of them, so an open mind about new tools matters more than experience with any particular one.
Where the job goes
This role grows. Quality-checking our output before it goes out to clients is something you will earn the keys to during your first months, and for the right person there is a longer path towards running some of our simpler shoot days yourself as the studio grows. We would rather promote capability that we have built than hire it in.
The practical bits
The studio is in Farnham, Surrey, and this is a studio-based role, so you'll need to live within commuting distance. Flexibility is key to this role, as no two weeks are the same. Salary is £28,000 to £34,000 depending on experience. Free lunches on shoot days, office dogs, and a team small enough that your voice is heard.
