Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our barnd new butchers shop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare meat cuts from whole animal
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients.
- Support butchery activities such as portioning and trimming meats, ensuring proper handling and hygiene.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage of perishable goods.
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and uphold quality standards.
- Follow recipes accurately and contribute to menu development when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or related roles within a butchers field
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Experience in food preparation, including butchery skills, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with operations and kitchen workflows.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Previous experience in food handling or kitchen roles will be considered an advantage.
- Must be customer oriented
Monday - Friday 9.30am - 6.30pm, Saturday 10.00am - 6.30pm, Sunday 10.30am - 5.30pm
(1 weekday off Monday - Friday.
Pay: £1,600.00-£2,000.00 per month
