Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations within our logistics and supply chain environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient utilisation of resources. This role offers an opportunity to lead process improvements, optimise inventory management, and coordinate transportation logistics to support business growth. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a solid understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Duties
- Oversee all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training to ensure safety and efficiency standards are met.
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure safe operation of equipment such as forklifts.
- Develop strategies for process improvement in logistics workflows and supply chain management.
- Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Oversee the utilisation of transportation management systems to streamline freight movement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles with supervising experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in the operation of forklift trucks (articulated); relevant certification is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimisation and cost reduction strategies.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations applicable to warehousing environments.
