Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shutter Door and Barrier Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of shutter doors and barriers across various industrial and commercial sites. This role covers the whole of the UK and can involve working away . Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair various types of shutter doors and barriers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential faults or wear and perform preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using schematics and technical manuals, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Fabricate components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised machinery.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise installations.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and repairs carried out for future reference.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all phases of work to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Skills
- Proven experience in Shutter door repairs and maintanence
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation manuals accurately.
- Strong understanding of construction processes including painting and masonry works.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally.
