Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Assistant who is fluent in English to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a talent for upselling and basic maths. As a till assistant you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and support to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be flexible regarding work days.
Duties:
- Communicate effectively in English to assist customers with inquiries and transactions
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic maths for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Sell products or services by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Efficiently manage time to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Prepare drinks and food, make coffee, operate till system.
- Undertake small cleaning duties, wiping tables, sweeping floors, keeping the working area clean
- Keep documentation up to date regarding food and hygiene procedures
Skills:
- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Ability to maintain good hygiene and cleanliness of the store
- Basic maths skills for accurate calculations during transactions
- Ability to safely and quickly prepare customer orders
- Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks
- Barista experience on manual espresso machine
- Ability to work at a fast paced environment when needed.
- Ability to prepare sandwiches/ handle food.
