Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in producing precise technical drawings and models for various infrastructure projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative environment, utilizing advanced CAD software and construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate CAD models.
- Prepare construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details for review and approval.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Maintain organized digital files of all CAD drawings and related documentation for easy access and revision control.
- Assist in reviewing design changes and updating drawings accordingly throughout project lifecycle.
- Support the integration of 3D modeling tools like SketchUp and NavisWorks to visualize project progress and detect potential issues early.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Schematics.
- Construction experience is essential to understand project workflows and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to civil engineering, architecture, or construction projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
