Front of House Team Member
Paz Taqueria | Edinburgh
We're looking for a new legend to join the Front of House team at Paz Taqueria – Edinburgh's lively little Mexican hotspot.
Starting on a part-time basis over the busy Festival period, this role has the opportunity to grow to close to full-time from September onwards.
About Paz
Paz is an independent neighbourhood taqueria that's been serving authentic Mexican food since December 2023. We hand-press our tacos daily, make our antojitos from scratch and change our menu every 3–4 months to keep things fresh.
We're passionate about bold flavours, genuine hospitality and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. Our team is close-knit, supportive and ambitious, and we're looking for someone who shares those values.
The Role
We're not just looking for someone to take orders—we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people.
As a Front of House Team Member, you'll be the face of Paz. You'll welcome guests, guide them through the menu, make thoughtful recommendations, keep service flowing smoothly and ensure every table leaves feeling like they've had a great experience.
We believe hospitality is about personality, attention to detail and creating moments people remember. Whether it's your first table of the day or your last, we want every guest to feel like one of our regulars.

Previous restaurant experience is great, but attitude and personality are even more important.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering warm, engaging service from arrival to goodbye.
- Learning our menus inside out and making genuine food and drink recommendations.
- Creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining efficient service.
- Opening and closing the restaurant to our standards.
- Working closely with the kitchen and your teammates throughout service.
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and welcoming restaurant.
- Looking for opportunities to improve every shift—for both our guests and your colleagues.
