We are looking for a Support Assistant to provide support for a gentleman with a variety of tasks, including shopping, paperwork and perhaps sporting activities.

The BCP Direct Payments Advice Service is a support service for individuals who are living independently within the community. We are not the person you will work for. You will work for the individual or family we are supporting.

Job title: Self Employed Support worker – 2-4 hours per week
Location: BH5 Bournemouth
Job purpose:
To assist the person with a variety of tasks including shopping, paperwork and ideally sporting activities, to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the individual:
The client has an academic / research background, is easy-going and loves to play sport. He has a diagnosis of Autism and PTSD. If you can play (or learn to play) tennis, this is a major plus!
Rate of pay:
Hours of work: Flexible hours to be mutually agreed
support with shopping
dealing with paperwork
If possible, occasionally participating in tennis and other sports
These duties may vary from day-to-day

Skills, qualifications and experience
Essential:
driving licence would be beneficial but this might not be necessarily essential
car and appropriate insurance
Computer literate
have the ability to support a person that has experienced trauma and who lives with autism
Essential: If self-employed, mention here the paperwork required as evidence of self-employment status
Provide evidence of self-employment such as Public Liability Insurance, Terms and Conditions, tax reference number.
DBS check will be required
Legally able to work in UK
