Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Roofing Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems across various projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of roofing sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
- Use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment to install shingles, metal panels, or other roofing materials
- Support fabrication and cutting of roofing materials according to project specifications using saws and other tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, or metal sheets to ensure timely progress on site
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of roofing components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed
- Collaborate with team members on tasks such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing or welding as needed for complex roofing projects
Experience
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with roofing techniques and materials is a plus
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures in a construction environment
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to roofing systems
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights
- Experience with welding, fabrication or masonry can be advantageous but is not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
