Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Beach Cleaner to join our team at Porthmeor Beach on a seasonal basis. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the beach environment, ensuring it remains an attractive and welcoming space for visitors. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and will need the occasional ability to think and work on their initiative.
Responsibilities
- Regular cleaning of the beach area, including litter collection, waste disposal, and ensuring public facilities are tidy and functional
- Cleaning and upkeep of the public toilets on the beach
- Maintenance of beach infrastructure such as pathways, benches, and signage
- Landscape maintenance
- Assisting with construction or renovation projects related to beach facilities or landscaping features
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with construction or general maintenance work will be beneficial
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor settings
