The Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Outpatient Department comprises of 2 outpatient clinical areas which consist of the Maxillofacial Clinic and the Orthodontic and Restorative Clinic. We also provide an Orthodontic service at Kings Mill Hospital.
We care for a vast range Maxillofacial conditions including Head and Neck Cancers, Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery. We see patients for both emergency & scheduled appointments and have our own direct contact with the associated ward also caring for these patients.

The successful candidate will work closely with the whole team to develop and continue their skills.
Duties will include:
Working within a mixed role team.
Working at the Queens Medical Centre and also at Kingsmill Hospital.
Assisting in minor oral surgery.
Assisting in clinics for patients with Head and Neck Cancers, TMJ conditions, Facial deformity and complex dental treatment.
Working with Clinician providing Orthodontic and Restorative Care.
Ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times.
Excellent communication skills.

As a registered dental nurse you will work in all areas Maxillofacial Outpatients enabling you to gain experience and knowledge in a broad range of Maxillofacial Restorative and Orthodontic conditions & surgeries , in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
