Job Brief
Working as part of the Internal sales team with either a sales support or stock control bias, managing the expectations of the customer whilst working closely with the external sales team, planning, transport and production to ensure customer satisfaction remains at a world class standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the total product supply chain either from original enquiry to delivery of the order, or from forecasting to discontinuation of products with the main focus being customer service.
- Manage and nurture you own customer base, maintaining service levels through excellent communication skills, liaising with suppliers and customers as well as internal departments, ensuring stock holding targets are constant.
- As a member of the team with a sales support bias, you would develop a high level of technical knowledge
- Deal with customers on a day-to-day basis as their main contact, raise new specs, orders and customer request onto SPOCS.
- As a member of the team with a stock control bias, you would closely manage stock levels and delivery from customer forecasts whilst ensuring Sheard production and warehousing remains a key priority.
- Management of slow-moving stock.
- An ability to learn, develop and self-manage the customer accounts independently whilst adopting a highly logical approach is crucial
Skills Required
- At least 2 years’ experience within a customer service or demand planner environment
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
- Fluent operation of Microsoft outlook and excel.
- Maths and English GCSE C (4) or above (equivalents can be discussed).
- Excellent team worker but equally adept at working independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise own workload
Desirable
- Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and one drive.
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain
- Experience defining and implementing process improvements.
- Experience of using data analysis tools
- Confident in customer facing meetings (both in person and virtual)
