Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Carer Assistant to join our compassionate care team. In this vital role, you will support the delivery of high-quality care within a care home environment, ensuring residents receive personalized assistance that promotes their independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Supervise and mentor junior care assistants, providing guidance to uphold high standards of care and professionalism
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, including updates to care plans and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Support the supervision of medication administration in accordance with legal and organizational policies
- Contribute to creating a positive environment by encouraging social engagement and recreational activities for residents
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care environment is essential
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans to meet individual needs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents and team members
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and documentation purposes
SVQ Level 3 minimum required.
