Part-Time HR Manager
Location: London (hybrid)
Job description
As our international team continues to grow, we are looking for a Part-Time HR Manager to support our people across multiple locations and time zones.
Based from our London office, you will be a key point of contact for our global workforce, supporting colleagues and managers across London, Singapore, Delhi, Dubai and Houston.
This is a hands-on, varied role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a growing business, is comfortable operating autonomously and wants to play an active role in shaping the people experience as the business evolves.
Alongside managing core employee lifecycle processes, you will provide practical advice and ad hoc support, help managers navigate people issues, and work with colleagues across the business to ensure our people processes remain effective as we grow.
You will also have genuine ownership of improving how we do things: from onboarding and appraisals to policies, absence and leave processes, you will ensure our approach remains consistent, engaging and fit for an increasingly international workforce.
Responsibilities
- Drive recruitment
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for employees across our international offices, ensuring a consistent and engaging employee experience
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR and people matters, providing practical advice, guidance and ad hoc support
- Support managers with performance, probation, absence, leave and other employee matters, escalating to specialist advice where appropriate
- Work with colleagues across the business to strengthen communication, engagement and connection between our different offices and ensure employees continue to feel part of one global organization
- Develop and manage a global appraisal and performance review process
- Gather and respond to employee feedback to understand what is working well and where we can improve
- Turn employee feedback and business needs into practical people initiatives that improve the employee experience
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR requirements across our key international markets, working with regional advisers and our PEO where appropriate
- Develop and deploy company policies
Experience and competencies
- Minimum seven years’ experience as an HR Officer, HR Advisor or similar generalist role, preferably within a growing SME, publishing, media, professional services or another fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting employees and managers across different locations, ideally within an international or distributed workforce
- Confidence acting as a first point of contact for HR and people matters, with the ability to provide practical advice while knowing when to seek specialist support
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- A proactive mindset and an interest in improving people processes and employee experience, rather than simply administering existing processes
- Confidence working with HR technology and cloud-based systems and understanding their limitations
- An approachable and pragmatic style, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with employees and managers at all levels
- The ability to work autonomously and effectively within a part-time role, while remaining responsive and connected to a global team
- An interest in culture, engagement and creating a positive employee experience across a growing international business
What we offer
- A collaborative and entrepreneurial working environment
- Hybrid working from our London office, structured around your part-time schedule
- A genuinely international working environment, with colleagues across five global hubs
- The opportunity to work closely with employees and managers across the business and make a visible impact
- A comprehensive UK benefits package, including subsidised private health insurance, pension, Death in Service and lifestyle benefits
- The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth of Quantum Commodity Intelligence and help shape our people approach as we scale.
