We're growing and are looking for a passionate Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Preschool team.
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable practitioner who is passionate about supporting preschool-aged children's learning, development and growing independence in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the EYFS and enjoy creating engaging learning opportunities that build children's confidence, curiosity, communication skills and independence as they progress through their preschool years.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above
- Have experience working with preschool-aged children and demonstrate strong practical childcare knowledge
- Have a secure understanding of the EYFS and confidently apply it in daily practice
- Understand the developmental needs of preschool children and how to support their individual progress
- Be confident planning engaging, purposeful and age-appropriate learning experiences based on children's interests and next steps
- Bring a flexible, positive and can-do attitude
- Communicate confidently, clearly and respectfully with children, colleagues and families
- Build strong and trusting relationships with children, families and team members
- Encourage children's independence, confidence and positive social skills
- Use initiative whilst remaining a supportive and reliable member of the team
- Be reflective, open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain inviting indoor and outdoor preschool environments that encourage curiosity, exploration, creativity and independence
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based EYFS activities tailored to children's individual needs, interests and stages of development
- Support children's communication, language, early literacy, mathematics, physical development and personal, social and emotional development through meaningful everyday experiences
- Encourage independence and confidence in preparation for children's transition to school and the next stage of their learning
- Support calm, inclusive daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, transitions and group activities
- Act as a Key Person, building secure relationships with children and working closely in partnership with their families
- Carry out observations and assessments and contribute to children's learning journeys, identifying appropriate next steps
- Support children's emotional regulation, positive behaviour and development of friendships and social skills
- Recognise and respond to children's individual needs, working alongside the SENCO and other professionals where additional support may be required
- Take an active role in team discussions, room planning and the ongoing development of preschool practice
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, organised and stimulating environment
- Commit to continuous professional development and keep up to date with current Early Years best practice

Pay: £28,500.00-£30,750.00 per year
