You'll be based onsite three days a week in Hampshire, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally, so a full UK driving licence is required.
Duties

- Hardening and securing client PCs and servers in line with recognised government and industry security standards
- Domain Controller administration, including FSMO roles, high availability and replication monitoring
- Running patch management schedules across Windows Server and client estates
- Deploying and maintaining antivirus and SIEM tooling
- Supporting customer hardware/software upgrades and new infrastructure rollouts
- Delivering training and knowledge transfer, one-to-one or in small groups
- Providing remote support and joining customer troubleshooting calls
- Taking part in an on-call rotation to support 24x7 customer coverage
Experience
- Commercial experience in an infrastructure or systems engineering role
- PowerShell scripting for install automation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange messaging systems
- Proxmox environment management (VM and template creation)
- VMware vSphere administration (VMs, virtual switches)
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, OUs and Group Policy
- WSUS experience, ideally including airgapped environments
- Experience managing secure removable-media processes
- Server hardening and security baselining (CIS-aligned)
- Solid networking fundamentals — LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Willingness to travel as required
- Willingness to undergo security clearance
Nice to have:
- Linux system and service administration
- Network Attached Storage experience (iSCSI, NFS) integrated with virtualisation
- SIEM platform experience
- Confluence administration
- Regulatory compliance awareness
- Kubernetes / containerised deployment experience
