Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Manager to lead our production operations. The successful candidate will oversee manufacturing processes, optimise efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of quality control. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Implement and oversee process improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Manage supply chain activities, ensuring timely procurement of materials and effective inventory control.
- Utilise SAP and other ERP systems for planning, scheduling, and tracking production workflows.
- Develop and enforce strict quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Oversee assembly processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on mechanical troubleshooting and process optimisation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through staff training, feedback, and innovative problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all manufacturing activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or a similar leadership role within an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, and supply chain management principles.
- Demonstrable expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in quality control processes and assembly line management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing technology or related fields are desirable.
Pay: £34,000.00-£69,000.00 per year
