We’re now looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. If you love working with children, enjoy getting messy with paints and playdough, and can sing out of tune with confidence — you’ll fit right in!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Help to create a high-quality, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support each child’s age and stage of development.
- Work in line with the EYFS framework, completing online journals, observations, and assessments for your key children.
- Support room leaders in the daily running of the room.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Encourage independence, curiosity, and a love of learning through play and exploration.
- Promote and model good hygiene practices at all times.
- Follow Ofsted Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements to ensure a safe environment for all.
- Attend regular supervision, meetings, and training — and show a genuine commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
About You
- Hold a relevant Early Years qualification Level 3 or above, or working towards at least a level 3 qualification.
- Have good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and nursery policies.
- Understand child development from birth to age five and have sound knowledge of the EYFS.
- Have excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills.
- Show a caring, patient, and positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding childcare.
- Work well as part of a team and show initiative when needed.
- Maintain a professional and proactive approach in all aspects of your role.
