Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sub Contractor - Window Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows across various residential and commercial projects. Duties
- Install, replace, and repair windows using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with precision and care
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Prepare work sites by measuring spaces, cutting materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to coordinate schedules and meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations to ensure compliance with safety standards and client specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Experience/Needs
- Proven experience in window fitting
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Experience working with electrical systems or plumbing is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical schematics accurately
- Prior involvement in construction projects that required adherence to safety regulations and quality standards
- Own Van
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements quickly
