CNC Programmer / Machining Specialist

You will play a key role in taking customer designs from concept through to manufacture, programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models to create accurate CNC programmes using HyperMill (experience with OneCNC or SolidWorks also beneficial)
- Set, operate, and optimise up to 5-axis CNC machinery, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies
- Troubleshoot machining challenges, improve processes, and ensure production runs efficiently
- Carry out quality checks, support customer projects, assist with quotations, and share knowledge by training new team members
You Will Have
- Previous experience working within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally with Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport, or similar industries
- Time-served apprenticeship with around 5 years' experience in CNC programming and machining
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software, CNC programming, and setting/operating multi-axis machinery
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to work independently as part of a close-knit SME team
