Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and safe manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of pharmaceutical products during transit
- Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain necessary signatures or acknowledgements
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading deliveries when required, including heavy lifting of medication boxes or equipment
- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, including mileage and delivery times
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable, particularly within pharmacy, healthcare, or retail sectors
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred, with knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
- Experience working in warehouse environments involving heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines whilst maintaining safety standards
