Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Take and serve orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide excellent guest services, addressing any queries or special requests with professionalism
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and issue receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and waiting areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist in food safety practices, including proper handling and serving of food and beverages
- Support with basic food preparation tasks as required during busy periods
- Manage time effectively during shifts to ensure prompt service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and serving protocols is advantageous
- Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interactions
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue generation
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
