We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainer/Assessor (fixed term) to join our growing team at Gateshead College.
This role is ideal for someone who already has experience in assessment or training, as well as professionals currently working in areas such as business support, education, learning facilitation, or industry who are looking to move into teaching and assessment. What matters most to us is not just qualifications, but your passion for developing others and commitment to helping learners succeed.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Leadership & Management / Team Leading
Associate Project Management
A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable, however if you do not yet hold one, full support and development will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
As a Trainer / Assessor you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning sessions
- Carry out regular one-to-one reviews with learners
- Monitor progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain strong relationships with employers and line managers
- Ensure learners are prepared for their End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Support learners with career progression and employability skills
