Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
- Lead and supervise specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of menu items with precision and creativity
- Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining consistency and efficiency during service
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary practice
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to develop new dishes and menu ideas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your designated section, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and quality control
- Ability to manage time effectively whilst multitasking during busy service periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A recognised culinary qualification is desirable but not essential; relevant kitchen experience is paramount
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings as part of rota
