Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Operator Sheet Metal to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating sheet metal fabrication equipment, performing finishing processes, and assisting in assembly tasks to produce high-quality metal components. Your mechanical aptitude, hands-on skills, and commitment to safety will help ensure efficient production workflows and top-notch product quality. Responsibilities
- Operate sheet metal fabrication machinery such as shears, brakes, etc. with precision and safety awareness. Full training is provided.
- Perform grinding and finishing tasks to smooth edges and surfaces of fabricated parts
- Use hand tools and tooling to assemble sheet metal components accurately and efficiently
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Measure materials and finished parts using basic math skills to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Assist in the setup of tooling and fixtures for various fabrication processes
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with fabrication processes involving sheet metal is preferred
- Basic understanding of grinding and assembly techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to metalworking equipment and hand tools
- Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations accurately
- Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in sheet metal work are a plus
