CNC Machinist - Established Engineering Company
Location: ST4 Stoke On Trent
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £17.50 per hour (dependent upon experience)
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Working Hours: 39 hours plus overtime, rotation of days and nights
Hunters 4 Staff are pleased to be working with an established engineering company with a reputation for delivering high-quality machined products and services. We are assisting in the search for an experienced CNC Machinist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC Machines, with a focus on 5-axis mill-turn machines
- Working with Mazak-controlled machines, though experience with other control panels is transferable
- Working shifts on a 2-week rotation of days and nights, with initial training on days
- Overtime availability and expectation of a certain amount of weekly overtime
- Operating overhead crane and FLT
Requirements:
- Significant experience in both setting and operating CNC Machines, preferably with expertise in 5-axis mill-turn machines
- Familiarity with Mazak-controlled machines is preferred, but experience with other control panels is acceptable
- Ideally, a background in apprenticeship within the machining field
- Proficiency in gauging and measuring own work
- Willingness to learn and be trained to a high standard
- Ability to work shifts, 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet overtime expectations
