Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently and safely to various locations within the designated area. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and strong communication with customers and team members.
Applicants must have access to their own vehicle for deliveries. A van is preferred; however, a large car with suitable cargo space will also be considered. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery driver experience and a good understanding of commercial driving regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
- Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required, maintaining accurate records of all deliveries made.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or courier services.
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Must have access to their own vehicle; a van is preferred, but a large car will also be considered.
- Experience in commercial driving environments preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and handling heavy lifting tasks is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS devices or maps.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to driving and parcel handling.

Pay: £160.00-£220.00 per day
