An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated nurse to join the West Wing Clinical Research Centre (WWCRC), delivering innovative and early-phase oncology clinical trials at the forefront of cancer care. The successful candidate will coordinate and deliver complex clinical trial protocols, administer SACT and investigational treatments, monitor and support patients throughout their treatment journey, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Applicants should be registered nurses with oncology or acute care experience, strong clinical and organisational skills, and a passion for research and service development. Previous clinical research experience is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be provided. To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift
To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
To assist with teaching patients in preparation for investigations, treatment and home care

To participate in educational programmes offered to staff. To attend the induction programme, mandatory training, and teaching specific to the clinical area
To participate in an annual collaborative appraisal process to enable achievement of objectives and management of learning needs.
