Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Worker to join our care home team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Support residents with medication as directed and in line with care plans and training
- Monitor and record residents’ health, behaviour, and overall condition, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to their ongoing review
- Support residents in social and recreational activities
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting is essential
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety and infection control
- Willingness to undergo training and development
- Relevant qualifications / mandatory training
