Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe and Chippy Cooks and Assistants to join our busy team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant food service environment, providing high-quality meals and excellent customer service. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café and chippy. Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking a variety of dishes in line with established recipes and standards
- Cook and serve meals efficiently during busy periods, maintaining high quality and presentation
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Assist with serving customers, taking orders, and handling payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support with stock management, including restocking ingredients and supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and interact positively with customers
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including weekends if required
