Do you have a passion for plants and gardening? We have an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about plants to join our busy Plants team at Prior Park Garden Centre, Bath. The role is for 30 hours per week over 4 days and will include weekend working.
Responsibilities:
You will be primarily responsible for the plants area in the garden centre, this will include:
- Plant care: watering, and maintaining good plant health with the plants in your area.
- Stock control: replenishment of plants, stock ordering and stock rotation.
- Merchandising: ensure plants are displayed to give inspiration to our customers
- Customer service: provide high levels of customer service to include helping customers with plant related enquiries, and carrying or transporting customer purchases to their cars when required.
- Other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The successful candidate will have excellent horticultural knowledge and ideally previous experience of working within a gardening sector. You will have a genuine passion for plants. A horticultural qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience of working in retail and customer service is desirable.
- You will have a customer focused attitude, be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training will be provided for operating the tills and the plant ordering system, although previous experience would be advantageous.
This role may involve heavy lifting, and working outdoors
Pay: £13.00 per hour
