Fire Door Carpenter – Immediate Start
Shield Build Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join our growing fire
door compliance team.
We carry out fire door installations and remedial works across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent,
primarily in occupied residential blocks and communal areas.
The Role
- Install and remediate FD30 / FD60 timber fire doors
- Work from third-party fire door inspection reports
- Adjust doors, frames, gaps, closers, seals, and ironmongery to compliant standards
- Identify and report compliance issues on site
- Provide simple photo updates of completed works
You Must Have
- Proven fire door experience (installations and remedials)
- Strong understanding of fire door compliance
- Ability to lead fire door works (not assist only)
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to Have
- Experience working in occupied residential blocks
- Fire stopping / making good around frames
- Flexibility to assist with general carpentry if required
