Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative with forklift driving experience to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods across the warehouse
- Manage stock levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment or storage
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
- Load and unload lorries and containers in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct stock replenishment and organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Support warehouse organisation through manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items and stacking pallets
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence with proven experience in warehouse operations
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 systems is desirable
- Experience in materials handling, stock management, or logistics is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and documentation
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is highly desirable
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independent
