Job Description
Richmond Nursing Home is a family run home located on the shores of Belfast Lough in the prestigious area of Cultra. We can accommodate up to 35 residents needing nursing, palliative and convalescent care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated worker to join our team who will carry out a high standard of care and assist to meet residents' individual needs within a caring environment.
Full training will be provided.

Care Assistant Day Duty
Full-time (36 hrs)
Shifts to be discussed
Salary will meet at least UK National Minimum Wage for salary and experience
Age 21+ £13.20 per hour
Age 18-20 £10.85 per hour
Duties:
- To provide, where appropriate, personal assistance to residents such as bathing, washing, toileting, pressure area care and dressing.
- Reporting to Nurse in Charge, untoward incidents e.g. falls, accidents, complaints etc and contributing to the maintenance of same within the established procedures.
- Supervise and assist with feeding when necessary at meal times.
- To help maintain a homely atmosphere within the Home which encourages the Residents to be as independent as possible.
- Maintain NISCC registration and comply with standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have a capable, caring nature and be committed to the care of all the residents within the Home.
- Must have a good command of written and spoken English.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral to communicate effectively with residents.
- Must be able to use initiative and work as part of a team.
- Must be registered with NISCC or be prepared to register following induction.
- Be reliable, be able to use initiative and work well as part of a team.
- Good General Health (medically fit).
Desirable Skills:
- At least 6 months' experience in either nursing, residential or community care setting preferred.
