About the role
R&D is responsible for researching, developing and supporting the technology on the company’s technology roadmap. We work closely with Technical Support and Sales to maintain that roadmap, and to understand customer requirements and we work closely with Operations to hand technology over to production.
Duties will include;
· Designing, verifying and debugging embedded system/sub-system components.
· Contributing to the development of advanced RF Signal Processing in the latest FPGA technologies.
· Working within a multi-disciplinary team to integrate firmware into the system.
· Contribution to requirements capture with external/internal customers.
· Designing test strategies/procedures for verification and production test of designs.
· Liaising with technology suppliers to keep the company’s technology up-to-date and to apply latest fixes to third-party components used by the company.
About you
You will be able to;
· Demonstrate experience in FPGA and/or embedded firmware development.
· Prove ability to integrate, understand and debug third-party RTL
· Have experience debugging complete embedded systems comprising hardware, processor software and FPGA firmware.
· Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Have the ability to work effectively with RF, hardware, DSP and systems engineers
· Prove experience of the complete engineering lifecycle, from requirements and design through verification, integration and deployment.
