This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to develop their skills in B2B sales and client relationship management. The role involves supporting the expansion of our business through proactive outreach and engagement with potential clients.
Responsibilities – Business Development & Energy Sector Associate
Commercial Development & Lead Generation
- Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities across the energy, offshore, maritime, and hydrogen sectors.
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of prospective clients, EPC contractors, operators, and technology partners.
- Conduct outreach to target companies through email, LinkedIn, industry platforms, and professional networks.
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, capability statements, and tender submissions.
Market & Sector Intelligence
- Monitor developments in offshore energy, floating production systems, SPMs, CALM buoys, PLEMs, hydrogen infrastructure, and related EPC markets.
- Prepare concise market briefs summarising trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain an updated database of industry contacts, project pipelines, and regional market insights.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Assist senior management in coordinating meetings with clients, EPCs, and strategic partners.
- Participate in introductory calls, capability presentations, and follow‑up discussions.
- Ensure timely communication with prospects and maintain professional client touchpoints.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Support the development of marketing materials, case studies, and sector‑specific content aligned with Rhizome Energy’s capabilities.
- Manage updates to the company website and digital channels to reflect current services and project experience.
- Coordinate participation in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility.
Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical capabilities and translate them into commercial messaging.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, leads, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports for senior management.
Professional Development
- Develop a strong understanding of offshore systems, SPMs, mooring solutions, subsea infrastructure, and hydrogen technologies.
- Build a professional network within the energy sector through events, associations, and digital platforms.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
