Job overview
We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a Wheelchair & Specialist Seating Service across Brighton and Horsham.
This is a cross-site planned care position working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are also happy to consider suitably experienced Physiotherapists who have relevant wheelchair therapy experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist wheelchair therapy assessments and interventions.
- Assess patients requiring wheelchairs and specialist seating solutions.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary planned care team.
- Deliver high-quality patient-centred rehabilitation and mobility support.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with organisational standards.
- Manage a caseload effectively across multiple service locations.
Essential requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with appropriate professional registration.
- Physiotherapists will also be considered if they have relevant wheelchair therapy experience.
- Previous experience working within a Wheelchair Therapy or Wheelchair & Specialist Seating Service.
- Experience completing wheelchair and specialist seating assessments.
- Ability to work independently across Brighton and Horsham sites.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary team working skills.
