Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive kitchen experience. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and inspiring culinary excellence across all aspects of our hospitality services.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and ensure consistent quality.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Monitor food presentation and quality control throughout the preparation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to effectively lead staff and coordinate with other departments.
- A passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
Pay: £12.21-£19.30 per hour
