What you’ll be doing
No two days are ever the same, but your role will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Leading service and helping ensure every dish leaves the kitchen to the highest standard
- Supporting, coaching and motivating junior chefs
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and reducing waste
- Helping develop seasonal specials and new menu ideas
- Ensuring consistency, organisation and a positive kitchen culture
- Taking ownership when the Head Chef is off duty
What we’re looking for
We’re far more interested in attitude than ego.
The right person will have previous experience in a busy fresh food kitchen and be confident working under pressure without compromising on quality.
Ideally you’ll already be working as a Sous Chef or be an experienced Chef de Partie who’s ready to take the next step in your career.
You’ll also be someone who:
- Leads by example
- Takes pride in producing consistently great food
- Works well as part of a team
- Communicates well with both kitchen and front of house
- Has excellent organisational skills
- Enjoys helping others develop
- Wants to continue learning and progressing

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
