We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cafe Assistant/Barista to join our team! Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care (training provided)
- Serve baked goods and ice creams, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all customers, taking orders accurately and handling transactions using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and dining space, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
- Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Support team members with general duties as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential as we have barista training for you; a passion for coffee and customer service is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to perform food tasks with attention to hygiene and quality standards
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- A positive attitude with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
