Location: London – Field Based (Within M25)
Salary: £18.00 per hour OTE
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week

Travel: Rail card provided – no company vehicle
We are currently recruiting for a Mobile General Maintenance Operative to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial client sites throughout London.
This is a varied role suited to a practical, hands-on individual with experience across general building maintenance, repairs and handyman duties.
The Role
- Carry out planned and reactive general maintenance
- General handyman tasks, including carpentry and furniture repairs
- Repairs to doors, locks, hinges, handles and fixtures
- Minor plumbing repairs and basic maintenance
- Painting, decorating and making-good works
- Install and replace signage, blinds, ceiling tiles and fixtures
- Carry out routine building inspections and preventative maintenance
- Complete basic compliance and safety checks where trained
- Identify and report defects, hazards and additional works
- Complete job sheets, photographs and maintenance records
- Work across multiple commercial/client sites
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service
About You
We're looking for someone with practical experience in general building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance or a similar environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience in a general maintenance/handyman role
- Good knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating
- A practical, hands-on and problem-solving approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to recognise when specialist contractors are required
- Experience in a mobile/multi-site role would be advantageous
- Any relevant trade qualification or accreditation would be beneficial
