Receptionist – The Hive Youth Zone
£12.71 per hour | Wednesdays 3:45pm-8:15pm and Fridays 3:45pm – 10:15pm
The Hive Youth Zone is looking for a Receptionist to join our team during our busy Junior Session for young people aged 8-12 and our Senior Session for young people aged 13–18.
Reception is the front door of The Hive. You will be the first point of contact for young people, visitors and staff, helping create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
Applicants must be aged 21 or over.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming young people and visitors to The Hive
- Checking members in using our membership system
- Answering phones and dealing with basic enquiries
- Supporting with light administrative tasks
- Handling payments and cashing up at the end of the session
- Maintaining accurate records and reception procedures
- Supporting safeguarding by following The Hive’s safeguarding policies and reporting concerns appropriately
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, approachable and confident communication skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm in a busy environment
- Basic IT and admin skills
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding young people
